Owner & Operator

Elaine McCloud is the owner/director of FLIP CCLC and the mother of five children. She begun operating her first daycare facility in 2004 with the help of her sister. She soon learned that there was more to running a daycare business than caring for kids, so she went to college to earn an Associates Degree in Business Administration. She then went back to school to earn her Bachelors in Early Childhood Education/Children and Family all while running her family daycare center. As a result of the partnership with Head Start, Ms. McCloud has numerous certificates associated with child development as well as a CPR/First Aide Trainer.    

Director

Ayanna Jones is the director of FLIP CCLC, wife and mother of three beautiful children. She has worked closely with Ms. McCloud from nearly the beginning. Mrs. Jones has earned her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently in pursue of her Bachelors Degree in the same field. Mrs. Jones has also benefitted from the partnership with Head Start in that she has also received numerous trainings and certificates in subjects pertaining to child development. 

Lead Toddler Teacher (3-4 years)

Ms. Racheal is our Lead Toddler Teacher in the 3-4 year old room. She has two years of experience in childcare. She will be going to school to pursue her CDA to continue a career within the field and hopefully grow to own and direct her own center in the future. She is First Aid/CPR certified and has received numerous trainings and certifications including Trauma Smart and Positive Guidance & Discipline. Ms. McCloud has hands on experience with lesson planning, implementation and social-emotional techniques and her goal is to implement specific action plans for each individual child to help them grow academically and emotionally.

Volunteer Administration & Lead Infant Teacher (6 wks-1 year)

Yolanda Ewing is our Lead Infant Teacher and Volunteer Administrator. She has been employed in the childcare field since 2008 since opening her own home daycare in partnership with her sister. Mrs. Ewing is First Aid/CPR Certified, Trauma Smart and SIDS/Shaken Baby Syndrome.
